Positive thoughts fights our enemy.

When you have a lover like God, you have a powerful weapon to fight the enemy, Satan/devil and his negative thoughts.  Your lover provides you with life, air, water, etc..  He provides you with peace, hope, love, etc..  And a lot more.  All you have to do is to keep working at thinking about all the good things you’ve been given by your lover, and he will brighten your day.

Earthly BFFs help love Spiritual BFF.

One of the best way’s to learn how to share love with your spiritual BFF, is to learn with a earthly BFF – and vise-versa.  You get to learn and practice love sharing techniques.  And in both worlds, the same areas apply: turning over control, putting their needs first, trusting, etc..  So study up on love sharing and practice it in both worlds.

Even BFF’s can be separated for a time.

Both on earth and in the spiritual world, Best Friends need to spend time apart from each other, so their trust in each other can be developed.  And also the value of the BFF relationship’s can be appreciated better.  It may be lonely, but true love will keep you together even when the ache of separation is there.

Getting peoples attention.

Very slowly but deeply, our lover God is getting people’s attention.  God is providing a mega drought in the southwest, a extreme weather condition of the northeast and more in the United States.  And the rest of the world is suffering from extremes in the environment.  And yet God lovers might be saying to them selves, why do we have to suffer.  Maybe it’s because we are not reaching out to the rest of the world with our lover-God’s message.

Is it a whisper or a yell

I found that one of the hardest things to do in my love affair with God; is to determine if it is God or the devil in my mind – telling me to do something.  Well the first thing I do is to determine if it is a yell or a whisper.  If it is a yell, which it frequently is, then it probably is the devil.  And the next thing I check is: Is it something my lover would want me to do.  If I am still confused after that I check the Bible for answers.  By now, 99 percent of the time I have settled on who it is.  In the one percent of the time, I check with my earthly friends.  This will usually wrap it up.

You can love the Boss or disregard him, but not for long.

Everyone can see in the world around them all the actions our Boss (Lover God) is doing to get our attention.  And it will keep getting worse until we choose loving Him instead of ourselves.The environment will continue to get unlivable.  Society will continue to become unlivable.  So if we want to save the future, we must reach out and help get peoples attention.

Big Brother has a lot to offer

We all have a big brother who would like to help us have a better quality of life.  His name is Jesus.  He inspired 4 books in the Bible: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.  They will give you great insight into how to live better.  I would start with Matthew 5:1.  Also, if you do not have a Bible and are purchasing one, may I suggest The Life Application Bible.  Its comments on the words of the Bible are very helpful.  God and Big Brother Jesus be with you.

Valentine Day for our BSF(Best Son Forever)

In our earthly relationships, we are expected to be nice to our BFF’s (Best Friend Forever)/Lover’s immediate family (spouse/children).  Well what about our Spiritual BFF/Lover’s (God) immediate family (His number 1 Son-Jesus).  Have we been paying special attention to His Son and our mentor and Big Brother.  Jesus wants to be very much involved in our life.  I know that I need to send more effort on this in my life.. 

Biographies teach us a lot.

The Bible has a lot of characters, and characteristics, so that we can study them; and get a lot of answers  for helping you deal with life.  Three of my favorites are Jeremiah, David and Joseph.  I have learned a lot by studying them.  I would like to share them with you.  They make good personal Bible studies.  Check them out.

A week of things for my lover.

Being the week before Valentine, I’m trying to do something special each day for my earthly lover (e.g. Luncheon out, flowers, etc.).  I know that I should be doing something special each day for my spiritual lover (e.g. worship day, small group day, Pastoral visit, etc.).  I’m working on it, how about you.

Lots of earthly control.

To have a loving relationship, we need to turn over control to another party.  By nature, we want to maintain control of our lives.  And yet we are willing to turn over control of our lives for earthly reasons.  We turn over our lives to our caregivers (e.g. parents, doctors, etc.).  We turn over control to our security people (e.g. police, military, etc.).  We turn over control of our finances to people (e.g. bankers, bosses, etc.).  And yet when it comes to our overall lives, we have trouble turning over control to God.  Part of the reason may be that it is the most important release of control we can make.  Make it.

The battle goes on

Just as through our life we had to fight battles (eg. sports, tests in school) to achieve anything in our lives; we have to fight battles to achieve better love affairs – including with God.  These battles will help us strengthen our love and trust.   Just as in life, we must have someone to battle/fight (e.g. other teams, other students); God has provided Satan and His demon helpers.  They will keep YELLING in your mind, all kind of negative thoughts.  Which we must fight with positive thoughts.

Loving others means a lot.

When we are sharing love with God, we need to realize that God loves everybody, even if they do not share that love.  We need to also love them.  That means doing what is best for them whether we like them or not.  This is the same with God.  Although He may love everybody, he may not like everybody.  These facts explain why not everybody will join Him in the eternal love fest.  But we do not know who will or will not, so we must love everybody. 

Puzzles have answered

My most favorite recreation is to do jigsaw puzzles.  God has been using them to teach me some lessons.  I start with the big picture on the box.  It gives me a goal to achieve.  Then I pour out the puzzle on the table.  Naturally most of the pieces are upside down; so I can’t see them.  I then turn them over.  I then pick out all the edge ones and connect them so that I have a guideline to do the rest.  I then work on the bottom rows so I have a foundation.  And then I pick out the major color and object pieces and connect them.  All that remains is to fill in the rest.  And now I can see the whole picture.

Isn’t that the way God shows us His plan.  He gives a peek at the whole picture: encourage us to share our love with Him.  Then He shows us all the messy parts of the plan.  We need to turn them over by trusting our lover.  After that we must accept His guidelines He gives us.  Then through His Word in the Bible He gives us a foundation.  After that He works on buildering us up through challenges and assignments.   We then receive a filling in of God’s training of us.  And now we are ready to really see the big picture: the eternal love fest.  Hope this helps you to.

Looking out the window.

I would like to share with you a lesson I’ve learned after a recent snow storm we had.  It was sunny and bright.  The sun reflected off the snow.  It looked nice.  But I started to realize that although  it looked nice.  9 people died from snow shoveling, many more where injured in auto accidents.  I recognized that it greatly depended on the circumstances that you where looking at the snow.  And I realized that this is true also when you look at what is going on in the world through the sharing of love with your lover God.  Being a lover of God you see God’s loving overall plan for humans.  Others see the evil in the world.  Aren’t you glad to see His love reaching out.

People predict snow totals but say no controller.

It seems rather common to predict how much snow can be acquired, but they are not ready to state that there is a sense of control and that there is a Controller.  Maybe that’s part of why we are dealing with extreme weather conditions.  The Controller may be trying to get our attention.  Here in the Midwest, I noticed that it has been happening on Sunday mornings.  He may also be calling our attention to worshiping Him everyday, not just on Sundays.

We are in a war

We need to remember that we are participating in a war between Satan and Jesus.  And the real hard part is that we are fighting it on the enemy’s ground.  So if we do not win every battle, it is understandable.  The important thing is we know we will win the final battle.  And we know that even if the devil should kill us.  We still win, by join God in our eternal love fest.  So there is no real lost battles.
